A bid wall is usually when someone makes a large bid on a certain asset that is being traded on an open market or trading platform. It is referred to as a wall because it would take a large amount of selling volume to break through the wall and drop the price. One some charts, the large number of bids will actually look like a physical wall holding up the price. These walls are usually a bullish sign because it means that someone is willing to buy a lot of the asset before it drops below their bid price. There are also ask walls, which are basically the same thing but on the sell side.
